Description

Join us for an introduction to Chatbots and discover the potential for utilisation in sport, leisure and health and explore the anticipated benefits for society. Learn about the potential application of Chatbots within your business and how they can address some of your challenges around managing information, communication, and data collection.

Chatbots are steadily moving into the public conscience with online retailers deploying them through chat interfaces to deal with customer queries. Their full potential has yet to be realised in organisations in health, leisure and sport to improve engagement with people, communicate products and services or provide support to people 24/7 at relatively low cost as well as collect data and provide meaningful content to its users.

Chatbots interact through instant messaging, artificially replicating the patterns of human interaction. It is an online automated tool that can communicate through text messages and is a virtual companion that integrates into websites, applications or instant messengers such as Facebook and Whatsapp. It has the potential to have a positive impact on health and fitness and be a force for social good.

The use of Chatbots in engaging with the public is becoming commonplace, with research by MarketsandMarkets suggesting that the global Chatbot market was worth £530 million in 2016 and has a projected value of £2.4 billion by 2021. The growth of Chatbots in the healthcare market surpasses that of any other industry, with a compound annual growth rate of 42.6% and a projected value of £477 million by 2021.
